I went on a hike the other day and the trail bottoms out to a beach. Perfect ending after you become so hot and sweaty from the hike.
It's crazy how as soon as you hit the trail it's as if someone pushed the mute button on all the city noise. I didn't realize how much I missed complete silence. I think this confirms how much of a country girl I am.
Another view from the trail...no buildings :)
No folks, I did not zoom in on this guy. I almost ran into him along the trail. I think his previous work includes "Arachnophobia" and "Horrors of Spider Island". Glad he took time to make an appearance in HK ..yikes
Some views of the beach...
You can tell it's not very crowded either...such a nice change from the city.
My back is to the beach from this picture. There is just one cafe, so they are expensive, but the owner was kind. The area is pretty remote. The trail cuts through a small village. I wanted to take a picture of an asian scarecrow for you to see, but I was scared the villagers would cook me for dinner or something.
This is a picture of the MTR (subway) when it was almost completely empty. I use this everyday to get anywhere. I hardly have room when it's crowded to even take a picture, but I'll try. Just because I love you all. ;)
This is the MTR station before you actually get on the different subways. They have shops all around...even Mrs.Fields cookies. I just soak up the smell every time I walk by, yummmmmm...
A view of the harbor from the IFC building.
Just trying out different modes with my camera...some are better than others....
That's it for now...hope you enjoyed it! :)
Gabby this is so great! This is going to be such a wonderful history for you to look back on and remember once you've left Hong Kong. Plus it's obviously just nice to have an outlet to share thoughts and experiences. Anywho, have an awesome year and great job documenting it! :)
